ABOUT THE CONTEST
Few foods combine so many cultures and ingredients as a dang-good taco. There’s no doubt about it; the Minnesota food industry’s taco-making, flavor-chasing creativity is unmatched—with dozens of restaurants combining classic and unique ingredients to craft familiar, yet explosive flavor profiles on the daily.
We figured it’s about time we recognize the best of the best, and so, our Minnesota Monthly editorial team has compiled a list of the most outstanding tacos our state’s culinarians have to offer. Here, the 32 finalists will compete head-to-head in an online, bracket-style, readers’ choice contest—all in pursuit of the title of 2020 Taco Champion.
Vote for your favorite taco to advance them through five rounds of fierce competition. Voting is open May 25 through June 28, and the winning taco will be announced June 29.
