If you’ve ever dreamed of living inside Wes Anderson’s set for Moonrise Kingdom, you’re in luck. Graduate Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin recently debuted its Sunrise Kingdom suite, a custom-designed suite inspired by a summer-camp aesthetic. Designed in partnership with Camp Wandawega, a kitschy, throwback camp site located in the woods of southwest Wisconsin, and the Land of Nod, a whimsical children’s housewares brand based in Illinois, the room features a workstation inspired by summer camp scoutmaster rooms, an antique Adirondack desk (complete with a working vintage typewriter), bunk beds, and an entertainment area (stocked with summer camp–themed movies and a record player, natch). It’s decorated with amber-shellacked pine—just like the kind found at the camp—vintage-print barkcloth, hunting print drapes, custom Sanborn Canoe paddles, Faribault Woolen Mill blankets, and original camp artifacts such as an antique troopmaster hat, as well as décor from the Land of Nod’s new Camp Wandawega for Nod collection. Products in the line include Wisconsin-themed wool pennants, bedding, throw pillows, play sets, and wall art.
