Minnesota’s rich theater and arts scene is carbonated in June and July by several Broadway shows, whose touring productions give Midwestern audiences a chance to experience a taste of the Great White Way without an expensive plane ticket to New York City.

On stage now and coming soon, here’s a quick look at some can’t-miss shows before the curtain comes down on the 2025-2026 theater season.

“Spamalot” at the Ordway
June 10-14
Eric Idle wrote the book and lyrics to this “loving rip-off” of “Monty Python and the Holy Grail.” Tickets at ordway.org.

“Six” at the Ordway
June 17-28
This Tony-winning musical focuses on the voices of the six wives of Henry VIII as they “take back the microphone.” Tickets at ordway.org.

“Wicked” at the Orpheum Theatre
July 8-Aug. 9
A needs-no-introduction production that shines a new (green) light on the many inhabitants of Oz. Tickets at hennepinarts.org.
