Dr. Margaret Shipitalo is a skilled optometrist with advanced training in ocular disease and surgical co-management. A native of Austin, Minnesota, she earned her Doctor of Optometry and Master’s in Vision Science from The Ohio State University before completing a prestigious residency at the Cincinnati Eye Institute, one of the nation’s largest ophthalmology referral centers. There, she gained extensive perioperative experience in LASIK and cataract surgery, along with specialized training in complex eye conditions. Returning to Minnesota, she practiced comprehensive optometry at North Suburban Eye Specialists, where she first worked alongside Dr. Mark Lobanoff. At OVO LASIK + LENS, Dr. Shipitalo provides expert pre- and post-operative care and is also thoroughly involved with the lens consultation process, blending clinical precision with a warm, approachable manner that helps patients feel at ease.
