Northeast Minneapolis brewery Bauhaus Brew Labs taproom, closed at the end of June, will host its grand reopening on Saturday, Aug. 15. This reopening comes after Bauhaus was acquired by ABV Technology, a St. Paul company that primarily focuses on making non-alcoholic beer, wine, and cider.

But don’t worry alcohol enjoyers, Bauhaus will still have plenty of old-fashioned, get-you-tipsy style booze, but they will be expanding the menu to add alcohol-free or low-abv beverage options. Plus, the expanded menu will include THC beer, cocktails, and sangria, for those who prefer a smoky haze to a hazy IPA.

“Bauhaus and ABV go way back, so we’re excited to start a new chapter for a legendary local institution,” ABV co-founder and CEO Ben Jordan says in a press release. “When we launched our business lowering the alcohol content of craft beverages nine years ago, Bauhaus was our first customer, and its Nah brand was our first major success. Since then, we’ve created more than 500 alcohol-adjusted products for more than 200 beverage brands, and we believe this acquisition will play a crucial role in expanding our reach in the Midwest and beyond.”

Bauhaus’ production facility and equipment means ABV Technology can perform every step of beverage production under one roof. This should, according to a press release from ABV Technology, allow them to lower prices on their products and improve margins.

The reopening party starts at noon on Saturday, goes until 11 p.m., and Al Church and the Congregation will perform from 8:30 to 10 p.m., because what’s a party without some music? Northeasters looking for food, drinks, tunes, and a good time can check out this celebration at this hops-hub.
