Here’s why we’re currently buzzed on the drinks at the new Gray Fox Coffee & Wine in downtown Minneapolis.

What’s Up: With rose-gold foil cups and the ability to print anything on coffee drinks’ foamy surfaces, Gray Fox is a glam way to start the day. The specialty Millennial Pink drink can be topped with any uploaded image in 10 seconds flat using the patented Ripple Maker printer’s espresso ink. “Our motto is: Be swift, be clever,” says Danielle Bjorling, who co-owns Gray Fox with husband Chris.

Where It’s At: Next to the Foshay Tower in downtown Minneapolis, Gray Fox’s optics immediately set it apart from the skulk of skyway beverage purveyors. The skylit space’s ceiling looms a couple stories higher than your average Caribou, and mod furnishings befit the fancy hot concoctions.

Side Dish: The Bjorlings also run the Copper Hen in Minneapolis’ Eat Street neighborhood, and have just expanded their locally sourced, scratch-made fare to Minnetonka with the Copper Cow. Located in a former Dairy Queen building—order ahead for pickup via the old drive-through window—the Cow is also a sit-down establishment with menu highlights like dessert-topped “boozy” milkshakes and a deep-fried burger. “It’s so good,” Danielle says. “Oh my word. We want to sell it at the State Fair.”
