Kick things off Thursday, July 23, with Summer Showtunes, presented by Hennepin Arts on Nicollet Mall from noon to 3 p.m. The free event features singalong favorites spun by a DJ, performances by the cast of “Wicked,” musical improv from Brave New Workshop, food trucks, Broadway-themed photo opportunities, and exclusive “Wicked” merchandise.
That evening, head to The Commons for Thursday Night Line Dance with Billie. The free, beginner-friendly event welcomes dancers of all experience levels for guided lessons followed by open dancing in the heart of downtown. No partner—or rhythm—is required.

On Saturday, July 25, Aquatennial turns up the energy with Project: Alley Electric Dance Party at The Alley Project. From 6 p.m. to midnight, the immersive ticketed event transforms the mural-filled downtown space into an electronic music venue featuring performances by Interplanetary Criminal, Main Phase, and Miley Serious.
