Husband and wife Saeid Homayouni and Sasha Zoghi opened up REVOLUTION Salon in St. Louis Park in 2015, and for the past four years, they have managed to build up a local and loyal clientele base while still finding time to fly around the world to educate other stylists, work for fashion designers such as Christian Siriano during events like New York Fashion Week, and more.

Although they both are continually solicited for special projects—last summer Zoghi flew to the French Riviera to style for a private fashion event for a confidential client, and Homayouni was just in London for some editorial photoshoots—they try to have at least one half of the pair at the salon. Plus, they always try to bring back some of the cutting-edge looks they see and do back to good ol’ Minnesota.

“Our clients and our team are our first priority, so we keep that our main focus,” Zoghi says.

Zoghi has been in the beauty industry since 1996 and Homayouni has been in it since 2007, and through their leadership and vision, they have brought together hair stylists who have been in the industry just as long.

REVOLUTION’s seven-person team allows the salon to offer not only haircut, styling, color, and treatment services but also facial, waxing, eyebrow shaping, and makeup services. With their mission written in the name REVOLUTION, you can bet their team is able to give you the completely new look you’re craving (but they’ll also just touch up a look you love). For those who want to make the change but don’t know what’s best, you can ask for the free 15-minute consultation to go over what might be best for your wants and hair needs.

Through every experience in and out of REVOLUTION Salon, Homayouni and Zoghi build upon their own expertise, and they in turn have made sure that creativity continues to develop for up-and-coming stylists, too. In general, they make sure their stylists can conduct consultations, execute techniques, and carry on a comfortable and enjoyable environment, but they also have a yearlong apprentice program, too.

The apprentices shadow and assist Homayouni and Zoghi, and after a few months of doing that and completing additional curriculum, they receive clients a couple times a week under the pair’s supervision. Keep in mind that these apprentices are already graduates of cosmetology programs; Homayouni and Zoghi are just that particular about the level of service their salon offers.

Looks aren’t everything, but sometimes a new hairstyle can bring you the confidence you’re missing or provide the couple hours of self-love you needed. And if that’s the case, REVOLUTION Salon has more than enough skill and service to give you everything you wanted and more.
