Sean Sherman to Appear on Hit PBS Show

The chef and founder of Owamni and NATIFS will explore his ancestry on ’Finding Your Roots With Henry Louis Gates, Jr.’

Minnesotans may see a familiar face on PBS next week. Sean Sherman, the nationally acclaimed chef and founder of Owamni and NATIFS, will appear on the Emmy-nominated docuseries “Finding Your Roots With Henry Louis Gates, Jr.” on Tuesday, Feb. 4, just a few weeks into the show’s 11th season.

For over a decade, Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr. has worked to expand America’s sense of itself through a national conversation about identity. In “Finding Your Roots,” Gates continues this quest by diving into the ancestry of celebrities and public figures in order to discover the connections that bind us all. Past guests have included Kristen Bell, Michael Imperioli, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Amanda Seyfried, Dax Shepard, and others.

In the upcoming episode, Sherman will explore his ancestry alongside fellow chef José Andrés, uncovering new revelations about his family’s history along the way.
