We think we’ve solved that old cliché and the answer is…Yes! Kite Soda, or “weed pop” as we affectionately refer to it, was the first THC soda to hit Minnesota in September 2022. Since Kite Soda floated into the market, we have been satisfying the taste buds of everyone aged 21 to 121 with our classic fountain flavors—Citrus, Ginger Ale, Orange, and Root Beer. So, how do you put the weed in “weed” pop? With modern food grade technology, we create microscopic (nano molecular) particles that can be wrapped (encapsulated) to allow for even distribution in liquid. This process takes the cannabis oil extract from hydrophobic (repelled by water) to hydrophilic (able to mix with water). And we wouldn’t be good Minnesotans if we didn’t double check our work, and we do by verifying our nano molecule size is below the 100 nm threshold at the University of Minnesota’s physics department.
