Tickets for the summer’s biggest fashion-slash-charity event are now on sale, and I would get them while the gettin’s good.
Macy’s Glamorama seems to be getting a little wild this year: The evening’s theme is dubbed “Artrageous” and the live musical performances should get a shot in the arm. Grammy-winning pop star Bruno Mars (“Grenade,” “Just the Way You Are”) and Far East Movement (“Like a G6,” Rocketeer”) will be performing alongside high fashion from Jean Paul Gaultier, Marc Jacobs, Sonia Rykiel, and more.
Tickets priced $175 or more will get you into the “artlandish” afterparty on the 8th floor and rooftop, where you can expect food, dancing, and a see-and-be-seen scene. As always, proceeds from Glamorama will benefit the Children’s Cancer Research Fund. (Glamorama has raised more than $4 million for the charity to date.) Can’t wait to see what fashion fantasies they have in store this year!
Orpheum Theatre and Macy’s Eighth-Floor Auditorium, Friday, August 5, 8 p.m. $60-$1,000. For ticket information, call 952-893-9355. Tickets can be purchased at the State Theatre box office, by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-982-2787, or by logging on to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund website.
