Season Seven of “Relish,” the Minnesota PBS cooking show, premieres next spring with two new hosts, Rochester Night Market founder Tiffany Alexandria and James Beard Award winning chef Karyn Tomlinson. Chef Yia Vang hosted the first six seasons of the show, but he stepped down from the role in 2025, according to Bring Me the News.
This announcement comes just weeks after Twin Cities PBS rebranded to become Minnesota PBS, expanding its coverage to southern Minnesota.
Since its debut in 2019, “Relish” has focused on sharing stories and recipes from different cultures and heritages. The new hosts intend to maintain that focus.
“Food has always been one of my favorite ways to connect people and cultures,” Alexandria said in a prepared statement. “I’m excited to bring my perspective to ‘Relish’ and to introduce viewers to the people, ingredients, traditions and stories that make Minnesota so special. There is so much happening beyond the places we already know, and I can’t wait to get out there and discover it together.”
According to the press release, Alexandria uses food to share her Taiwanese heritage while utilizing local ingredients. In her own right, Tomlinson combines Minnesotan heritage with French cooking techniques to give a fresh look, and taste, to her midwestern perspective.
“I’m thrilled to join ‘Relish’ and have the opportunity to explore the incredible food stories happening throughout Minnesota,” Tomlinson said in a prepared statement. “Food tells us so much about who we are, where we come from, and what we value. I’m looking forward to meeting the people who are shaping Minnesota’s food culture and sharing those stories with viewers across the state.”
A specific release date for the new season has yet to be announced, but you can find old episodes here.
