Minnesotans know how to embrace the cold, but we also appreciate all things cozy during the winter months. The annual Nordic Village at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis is a perfect balance of the two: a cabin dining experience meets winter wonderland, right in the heart of downtown.
This year’s experience runs Nov. 1-Feb. 28, starting with an opening celebration party to kick off the season. As guests arrive on the hotel’s rooftop, they will be transported beyond the cityscape into a charming, Scandinavian-inspired village filled with wood cabins for private dining, lit under the warm glow of string lights.

The village includes five cabins seating up to four guests and three cabins seating up to eight guests. New this year, guests can also enjoy craft cocktails and bites at The Lodge, a cozy, cabin-style bar with seating for up to 24. The larger cabins and The Lodge each offer their own independently controlled televisions for those looking to tune into the game or watch a holiday movie, and all cabins are heated for guest comfort.

The Nordic-inspired dining menu follows an evolving four-course format, which includes the option to add a variety of wine pairings to the meal. Executive Chef Martín Morelli will spearhead a few changes this year, with offerings like Swedish Meatballs, Cedar Plank Salmon, and the World’s Best Cake on the menu. Keep an eye on the Nordic Village website for the full opening menu, which will be announced at a later date.
According to a press release, the Nordic Village team will also be able to accommodate dietary restrictions and provide complimentary menu options for kids under 5 who are dining with a hotel guest.
This year, Nordic Village is offering expanded hours during the holidays—reservations are available every day of the week from Thanksgiving Day through New Year’s Day.
“Nordic Village has quickly become one of our most cherished winter traditions, drawing both travelers and locals to celebrate the magic of the season,” said Florian Riedel, general manager of Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis, in a statement. “This year, we are reimagining The Lodge as a welcoming cabin-style bar with hearty food and drink. It is the perfect place to connect, celebrate, and create memories all season long, whether you are staying with us or just coming in for a drink.”

The Winter Markets will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, running Nov. 1-Dec. 21. Access to the markets, as well as valet parking, is complimentary and open to the public. (Keep an eye on Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis’ Instagram for day-of schedule and weather updates.)
