The Graves 601 hotel has a new Champagne lounge called Relevé. Their impressive list of champagnes and sparkling wines include glass pours, small bottles, and magnums and prices from affordable to premium.
The experience includes options to mix and match and create personalized champagne cocktails, all under the helpful eye of black-dress clad cocktail servers. Imagine roadside Bloody Mary bars, but instead of beef jerky sticks, clamato, and pickled mushrooms, there’s elderberry aperitifs, vanilla bitters, and sweet wine gelées.
Veteran Chef John Occhiato’s menu has classic champagne fare, like oysters and sashimi style fish, as well as fun truffle-flavored popcorn and hearty lobster grilled cheese sandwiches.
The lounge works well as an addition to the nearly gated Bradstreet bar on the first floor of the hotel. Seemingly always booked and hard to get a seat down there, the overflow now has a great option upstairs for champagne and creativity.
