After a seven-year hiatus, organizers are bringing back the popular global event previously known as Festival of Nations. The newly christened International Festival of Minnesota will feature food, performances, and hands-on activities from 67 different cultures and ethnic communities.

Playwright Katie Ka Vang presents an intergenerational story, “asking what it takes for a family to move from surviving to thriving.” The play features three HMong American women and their day-to-day routines that lead to healing.

A Musical Semiquincentennial

What: Sing Democracy 250

To mark this year’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, multiple choirs from around Minnesota come together under the direction of G. Phillip Shoultz, III, to perform two new choral works that prompt audiences to reflect on America’s history and feel empowered to get involved in their communities.
