Chef Gavin Kaysen is bringing Bellecour to the heart of downtown Minneapolis. The acclaimed French bakery, cafe, and bistro will open a new location at Wells Fargo Center in late fall 2026, marking Bellecour’s first location in Minneapolis’ Central Business District. The street-level cafe will serve pastries, coffee, and lunch daily, joining Bellecour’s recently opened Edina bakery and North Loop restaurant.

“Place Bellecour sits at the center of Lyon; it’s where the city gathers,” Kaysen said in a statement. “Bringing Bellecour into the heart of downtown Minneapolis, into a building as iconic as Wells Fargo Center, felt like the natural next chapter for us.”
Known for its house-made viennoiserie and pastries, Bellecour’s menu includes croissants, cardamom buns, macarons, sandwiches, soups, and salads. Unlike the North Loop location, which transitions into a full-service bistro in the evening, the Wells Fargo Center outpost will operate as a daytime cafe and bakery.
The addition is part of a broader transformation at Wells Fargo Center, the 55-story office tower designed by renowned architect César Pelli. Building ownership says the partnership reflects its ongoing investment in creating a premier workplace destination downtown.

The opening also continues a period of growth for Kaysen’s Soigné Hospitality Group, which includes Spoon and Stable, Demi, Mara, and The Merchant Room in Naples, Florida.
Bellecour at Wells Fargo Center, located at 90 S. Seventh St., is expected to open in late fall 2026. Additional details and operating hours will be announced closer to opening.
