If there’s one food that brings Minnesotans together, it’s the burger. This summer, that shared love gets its own celebration with the inaugural MN Burger Week, happening Aug. 10-16. The weeklong dining event invites burger lovers to explore Twin Cities restaurants through exclusive $10 burger specials, while earning rewards and competing for prizes along the way.
Whether you’re planning one burger outing or an entire week of culinary adventures, here’s how it works.
Start With the App
The first—and most important—step is downloading the free MN Burger Week app, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The app serves as your guide throughout the week, allowing you to:
- Browse participating restaurants
- View each restaurant’s featured $10 Burger Week special
- Check in while dining to earn points
- Track your progress on the leaderboard
- Become eligible for prizes
Think of it as a passport for one delicious week of burger hopping.

Every restaurant check-in earns points toward becoming Minnesota’s Biggest Burger Lover. At the end of Burger Week, the diner with the highest point total will take home the grand prize.
Even if you’re not chasing the leaderboard, there’s still something to play for: visit four or more participating restaurants during Burger Week, and you’ll automatically be entered into a separate prize drawing.
A Growing Lineup of Restaurants
Participating restaurants are being announced throughout the summer, giving diners plenty of time to plan their Burger Week itinerary.
The first restaurants to join the lineup include The Copper Hen Cakery & Kitchen, Heartbreakers Bar & Grill, The Tavern Grill (all six metro locations), Birch’s on the Lake, Northern Taphouse, Francis Burger Joint, Le Burger 4304, and more, with additional restaurants and exclusive burger reveals coming soon.
Each participating chef will create a unique $10 burger available only during MN Burger Week.
