Watershed Spa, the beloved Twin Cities destination for bathing and holistic wellness, is growing—both in space and spirit. Founder Nell Rueckl announced that the spa will double the size of its flagship location in the Switch House building near the Mississippi Riverfront and open a second location in the former Bev’s Wine Bar space in the North Loop.

“This expansion is driven by our commitment to serving both our existing bathing community and those looking to take part in this powerful experience,” Rueckl said in a recent statement. “We’re creating more avenues for our community to reset, listen to their bodies, and experience the healing power of being in community.”
The expanded flagship will span 19,000 square feet, adding a salt room, infrared sauna, and outdoor relaxation area designed by RSP Architects. The new North Loop location, located at 250 Third Ave. N., will feature four massage rooms, private soaking tubs, communal baths, a tatami-style room, and a meditation space overlooking a garden.

“What’s truly exciting about working on these two spaces simultaneously is how symbiotic it all is,” Rueckl added. “We’ve learned so much since opening and are excited to bring those ideas to life.”
Both locations will continue to reflect Watershed’s ethos of intentional rest, mindful connection, and community-centered wellness. More details on the expansion and North Loop opening will be announced soon.
