Get ready for a year of dance, drama, and unforgettable storytelling with Twin Cities Ballet’s 2025–26 Season! This year promises to be one of our boldest yet, filled with sweeping music, timeless tales, and innovative choreography that will leave audiences inspired and amazed.

We are especially excited to launch the season with TCB’s company premiere of “Carmina Burana” with choreography by Loyce Houlton. This electrifying work is set to Carl Orff’s iconic score–one of the most beloved and recognizable musical pieces of the 20th century. This production features Ms. Houlton’s masterful choreography reimagined as a total theater experience by Ms. Houlton’s daughter, Lise Houlton, with Dominique Serrand—a spirited vision where dance, live music, vocalists, and the Minnesota Chorale converge in a spectacle of sound, visuals, and motion. With its driving rhythms, unforgettable choral arrangements, and emotional power, “Carmina Burana” is a feast for the senses.

    A Minnesota Nutcracker

Of course, no TCB season would be complete without the return of some of our most cherished productions, beloved by audiences across Minnesota. We are thrilled to once again present “A Minnesota Nutcracker” at our home theater, Ames Center in Burnsville, and at Northrop Auditorium. “A Minnesota Nutcracker” maintains the essential traditions, story, and music cherished by so many—but adds Minnesota flair, with iconic Minnesota characters and landscapes, making it a must-see event for families and ballet lovers alike. “A Minnesota Nutcracker” continues to delight audiences year after year and has been deemed one of the 12 essential holiday events by MPR.

In the spring, we turn up the volume with the return of “Romeo & Juliet: The Rock Ballet.” This one-of-a-kind production fuses Shakespeare’s most famous love story with the legendary music of Queen. The result is a high-energy, unforgettable evening where soaring rock anthems meet timeless tragedy. It’s a performance that bridges generations and brings new life to one of the world’s greatest stories.

    Narnia: The Ballet

We’ll also transport audiences back through the wardrobe with the magical return of “Narnia: The Ballet.” This enchanting production captures the wonder of C.S. Lewis’ classic tale, complete with majestic creatures, thrilling battles, and the triumph of good over evil. A favorite with both children and adults, “Narnia: The Ballet” is a reminder of the power of imagination and the joy of storytelling through dance.

This season is about more than performances—it’s about community, creativity, and the shared experience of live art. Twin Cities Ballet is proud to be a part of Minnesota’s cultural landscape, bringing world-class ballet to local audiences. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or discovering TCB for the first time, there is no better year to attend.

Don’t miss a moment of the magic. Season tickets are the best way to save your seat, guarantee access to these unforgettable performances, and support world-class ballet in your community. We invite you to be part of our 2025–26 Season and share in the artistry, the passion, and the joy of Twin Cities Ballet.
