A Shakespearean Romance
What: The Tempest

Where: The Guthrie Theater, 818 S. Second St., Minneapolis
The Guthrie Theater will take on one of Shakespeare’s late romances, which is considered to be his farewell to the stage. Joe Dowling, former artistic director at the Guthrie, will return to direct this production of The Tempest.
Psychedelic Pop
What: Beach House with Colloboh
When: Saturday, Feb. 26; 8 p.m.
Where: Palace Theater, 17 W. Seventh Pl., St. Paul
Following the recent release of their eighth studio album, Once Twice Melody, the psychedelic dream pop duo will perform at St. Paul’s Palace Theater. Beach House will be joined by electronic producer Colloboh.
‘Fires of Varanasi’

See the South Indian dance form of Bharatanatyam expertly performed in Ranee Ramaswamy and Aparna Ramaswamy’s Fires of Varanasi: Dance of the Eternal Pilgrim. The program explores the Hindu birth-death-rebirth continuum.

Teams of four will put their bocce skills to the test in this annual tournament. After checking out the competition, warm up inside Brian’s with a burger and brew.
A Broadway Hit
What: Pretty Woman: The Musical

Where: Orpheum Theatre, 910 Hennepin Ave., Minneapolis
The acclaimed Broadway show Pretty Woman: The Musical is embarking on its first national tour. Based on the 1990 film, this beloved rom-com follows the blossoming romance between a business tycoon and a woman he hires as an escort. The show will make its Minneapolis debut at the Orpheum Theatre this week.
