Available Now: Designer Maker Modern Collection at Walker Shop: The Walker went to Brooklyn, NY to find artists and makers whose modern aesthetics fit in at the museum’s Shop. All proceeds from sales of these goods will go to support the Walker’s artistic and educational programming. Products in the new collection include ceramics from Paper & Clay, wooden goods from Tandem Made, jewelry from Moonlight for Violet, and bags from Milkhaus Design. Nov. 10: Artisan Revival: This event recognizes the finalists for Artful Living magazine’s “A List Awards,” which honors the best of the Twin Cities in 4 categories: home, style, food and drink, and adventure. Artisans will show off their wares, accompanied by live music and tasty snacks. Vendors include Annex Baseball, Northern Toboggan & Sled, Parlour Von Kopp, and more. Nov. 11: 2nd Annual Duluth Pop-Down at Askov Finlayson: Hosted by Askov Finlayson, this annual event brings a slice of Duluth to Minneapolis. Along with remarks and performances by Duluth Mayor Don Ness and musician and author Teague Alexy, Frost River Trading Co. will be there to debut and monogram new bags that will be sold exclusively at Askov Finlayson. Nov. 12: House of 365 Benefit Shopping Night: Wayzata boutique House of 365 sponsors this family-friendly charity event, hosted by Kathy Bryan and Jackson and Jessica Hilde. The night of drinks and hors d’oeuvres is meant to create awareness about and raise funds for Our Little Roses, an orphanage for girls in Honduras. Nov. 12-14: Cardamom Collective & Bouchard Design Co. Trunk Show at Khazana: Multicultural-inspired jewelry and textiles rule at this trunk show and artist talk. Khazana Imported Arts and Textiles will debut newly acquired textiles from India, alongside handmade and internationally sourced pieces from Cardamom Collective and Bourchard Design Co. Nov. 12: Naughty & Nice Night Out: Woodchuck and Urban Undercover invite you to do some holiday shopping in a relaxed and fun environment. Nov. 13: IIDA Fusion + Fasion Show at Muse Event Center: The International Interior Design Association’s Northland Chapter holds its 10th annual fashion fundraiser this year at the Muse Event Center. The runway show features looks inspired by renowned game changers in the arts including Pablo Picasso, Yves Saint Laurent, Andy Warhol, and local luminaries Bob Dylan and F. Scott Fitzgerald. Just as these artists had their own creative muse, so do the artists behind these unconventional runway looks. Winners will be named in several categories, and the night ends with a dance party. Nov. 13: Eddie Ross Styling LAB, Q&A and Book Signing at Ampersand: The East Coast Editor of Better Homes and Gardens, Eddie Ross, comes to Ampersand Shops for a night of styling tricks of the trade. At the Styling LAB, Ross will give guests one-on-one home styling sessions to 30 ticket holders. You’re asked to bring your own tableware item for the session. Nov. 13-14: Love Local at Minnesota Center for Book Arts: Works from dozens of local artists will be showcased at MCBA’s annual holiday sale. This year, the event expands to two days with a reception and preview on Friday, where guests can buy discounted merch at MCBA’s Shop. Refreshments at the reception, which is ticketed, include holiday cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Nov. 14-15: AlwaysMod 13th Anniversary Open House: AlwaysMod celebrates its anniversary with a Finnish extravaganza. Nov. 14: Craft’za: St. Paul has Craftstravaganza and Minneapolis has Craft’za, the 4th annual art market that will feature handmade goods in the Grain Belt Bottling House in northeast Minneapolis. Jury-selected artists will vend their goods, and food from Gastrotruck food truck will be located outside of the indoor market. Nov. 14: Knightsbridge Boutique Event at Benilde-St. Margaret’s: Benilde-St. Margaret’s school hosts this luxury boutique, which features clothing and accessories, jewelry, spa products, gourmet foods and household items in a market inspired by London’s retail district. A RoyalTea snack bar will provide treats at the market. Purchasing a VIP wristband will give shoppers a complimentary tote bag and other exclusive items. Nov. 15: Minneapolis Craft Market: After last month’s kickoff, this craft market will be open every weekend through December 20. This month’s venue is Sociable Cider Werks. The market features ceramics, clothing, fiber arts, jewelry, photography, woodwork, and more. Five percent of proceeds each month are donated to local non-profit arts organizations, and a “scholarship stall” gives an arts education student the opportunity to participate in the market without paying for a stall.
