EVENT: The Color Run MLB All-Star 5K was held July 13 at the State Fairgrounds.
CAUSE: The official race of the All-Star Game, The Color Run joined forces with Major League Baseball to contribute to four cancer charities: Camp Kesem, the Prostate Cancer Foundation, Stand Up to Cancer, and Susan G. Komen.
BEFORE AND AFTER: Parties for the 28,000 runners ensued at both the starting and finish lines, from pre-race music and dancing to a post-run Slip ’N Slide.
PLAY BALL: The Color Run embraced the All-Star hubbub by way of crowd-surfing inflatable baseballs, a T-ball game, and ticket giveaways for the big event.
