Food halls across the Twin Cities are getting bigger and better than ever with recent expansions, and The Market at Malcolm Yards is no exception. In fact, starting next week, a new eatery will join The Market’s local, chef-driven lineup.
Kinsley’s Smokehouse Deli is set to open April 28, bringing East Coast-inspired deli sandwiches and nostalgic flavors to the food hall. A tribute to the New Jersey delis that inspired chef and owner James Adams during his childhood, Kinsley’s specializes in house-smoked pastrami, turkey, and other classic ingredients.

After studying and practicing culinary arts in New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, Italy, and Costa Rica, Adams moved to the Twin Cities in 2019. Locally, he has worked in executive roles at Smack Shack and Bull’s Horn. But with Kinsley’s, he’s returning to his roots.
Currently operating as a pop-up at Nova Bar in Hudson, Wisconsin, Kinsley’s has already garnered a devoted fanbase around deli favorites like the Reuben, Rachel, matzah ball soup, and hand-piped cannolis.

“I’m excited to offer The Market a new style and flavor for guests to explore,” says Adams in a statement. “We started as a pop-up around the Twin Cities and are now looking forward to opening a kitchen at Malcolm Yards.”
