We’re all looking for ways to stand up for our community. January has been cold, slow, and icy for restaurants all over the state, so no matter where you go, you’re supporting Minnesotans. But if you want to make an effort to support immigrant-owned spots, I’ve put together a list of restaurants that could use some extra love right now. I asked on Facebook for suggestions, and my son Seth made me a script to extract all the comments and put together this list. Please tell us about your favorites, and when you visit, post a pic on social media (and tag me and Minnesota Monthly). This is not an exhaustive list, but it’s a great way to get started if you wanted to plan a couple of lunches or make a week of supporting the many business owners in our communities who are living the American dream.
