Thai-Japanese Fusion Arrives at Asia Mall

Tuk Tuk Thai & Ebi Sushi Box delivers double the flavor and twice the fun at Asia Mall

Minnesota’s dining scene got a bold new addition this fall with the opening of Tuk Tuk Thai & Ebi Sushi Box, the state’s first Thai–Japanese fusion restaurant. Located inside Asia Mall in Eden Prairie, the dual-concept eatery brings Thai spice and Japanese precision together under one roof—an ambitious project more than three years in the making.

Backed by a nearly $2 million investment, the restaurant’s development included expanding Asia Mall’s parking lot by 150 spaces to accommodate growing demand. Behind the menu is a powerhouse culinary team: a sushi chef with nearly two decades of experience in Japan and New York and a Thai chef who spent 10 years honing his craft in Thailand. Together, they created a space where guests can enjoy noodles, curries, sashimi, and ramen—all at the same table.

True to its fusion philosophy, the menu balances authenticity with approachability. Flavors have been fine-tuned to fit Minnesota palates while maintaining the bold spirit of both cuisines. One of the restaurant’s most distinctive touches, sushi sold by weight, allows diners to sample a variety of rolls and nigiri without committing to a set menu.

Inside, the space mirrors its culinary concept—Japanese minimalism meets Thai warmth, resulting in a design that feels both refined and welcoming. With its convenient location and underground parking, Tuk Tuk Thai & Ebi Sushi Box going to quickly become a draw for diners across the metro. The restaurant’s debut also marks another milestone for Asia Mall, which continues to evolve as a vibrant cultural and culinary destination for Minnesotans.
